When ever I try to extract a .rar, it extracts it, but the files don't show up.
The files are hidden when extracted. How can I change it so that winrar doesn't extract the files as hidden?

There is no setting in Winrar to hide files, there is one to hide a file extension. Are you trying to extract to the same directory every time, or different directories? What version of Winrar are you using? Are these rar's sfx archives?

Otherwise you could uninstall, make sure all entries for WinRar are removed from the registry, delete temp folder contents, restart computer and then reinstall Winrar.

uh problem solved


apparently it was only with two specific rar files that i downloaded. The files were set to hidden o.o


any i was extracting to different directories just to see if it was something else. I have the latest winrar(free version). Restarting didn't help, neither did redownloading. I just ended up unhidding the files.

hehe, i had the same thing with one zip file and i just fixed that in folder options/unhide.
