As long as you're wasting all that money, it's true, SSD + 1.5 TB HDD would be more awesome. 24 gbs of ram? 8 gbs is way more than enough.
And I can see that you're probably "building" this off http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/ or similar, build it yourself.

Ramdisk babe, EXPANDING 150IMAGES ON 4CHAN HAVE NEVER BEEN SO FAST, PROCESSING THOUSANDS OF RAW FILE HAVE NEVER BEEN SO FUN.
yeah, 8gb is a waste unless you use ramdisk, VMware, workstation level bullshit.

not really, some games push me right up against 4gb. i could definitely do with 8 at times.
