Hi, I am in need to want to restart everything on my laptop and its been months since i last formatted ( major problems ). But this time, I want to know how to perform a destructive recovery on my HP laptop, but to remove all the fucking HP junk that is installed onto my laptop. It takes almost days just to uninstall all the crap on my laptop. The laptop I use is fairly in good shape, only problem is overheating. The laptop is called HP Pavilion dv6646 U.S if you guys can help me , thanks

Depends on the methods they use to install their software. Take Acer for example. All their stuff installs at first boot into Windows just after the title screen with a bat script. It's easy enough to find and remove, or to just simply kill the installation before it finishes.
Another option would be to slipstream your whole backup. This could include latest drivers for your computer, and any other software you wanted to add to the initial installation.

Site is for Windows XP SP2, but it will work for anything.

For starters, avoid the Windows installation CD that came with the system if possible. Any name-brand system that comes with a Windows installation disk/recovery disk is typically an OEM copy of Windows. Meaning it comes preloaded with junk from the marketer/publisher (HP, Dell, etc.).
Most OEM installation disks don't give you any option to choose what you want installed and are embedded into the system already. So your best bet is to avoid using any installation CD(s) that came with the system already if you don't want any of their junk.
For being an HP system as well, I would highly recommend not using their OEM CDs, they disable a bunch of stuff on Windows that becomes a huge hassle for a lot of applications later down the road. Try and get yourself a standard copy of Windows if possible.

Well, if your purpose is to remove junk applications will depend on the installation CD that came with your PC if it allows you to perform custom installation. If not, you can't do a destructive recovery that suits your taste. Your only option would be to perform a destructive recovery and then remove junk applications afterward, OR, to get another installation CD and have a fresh install instead.

Good luck finding a copy that hasn't been modified so it works without a key, but if you do, yes, that would work.

Write down all your drivers' names and models, write down your computer model, buy a NEW Windows install CD from Best Buy or your local computer store, and re-install Windows.
