|
|
hello,
i have been trying to hack a game called "darksiders".
after i finally find the addresses, they usually have weird values...
for example if i have 1000 souls (the currency in game) than one value can be something like 63461346846 and the other -235496443663.
when i check what writes to these adresses i get the same line
which goes something like this:
"movss [eax], xmm0"
freezing the addresses works tho... i can buy stuff without wasting money, but i cant modify my money...
also if i try to search for pointers it has so many that my computer doesn't even have enough space to store the CE pointer file...
if i try manually then every step shows me like 10 different pointers.
any ideas on how to hack the game?
i think - if i could understand the assembly instruction i could modify it to like give me double the money or something
any ideas?
thanks,
Ron.
EDIT:
another instruction that sometimes follows goes something like CVT-andSomeLettersAfterIt)

buy a new harddisk or see if you can get results with a smaller range (level/max offset)

Try hooking the code that accesses the value. And there save the address to a known location.

You are checking the value as a "4 byte" value but it seems to be float. Change the value type to float and it should display the correct value.

i googled the assembly keywords i didn't understand and got to the same conclusion
EDIT:

should i just pick any of them?

restart the game and do a rescan
Or if that is what you mean with "a few pointerscans" just pick one. I usually pick the one with the least levels and smallest offsets
