| What's a good free eBook to read? I could Google yes, but I'd like experienced programmers in some web languages (particularly HTML and CSS and JavaScript - no server-sided languages atm because I am trying to learn more of Java EE.) to give me viable eBooks, or books in general. Thank you.

You can learn html from w3schools website. For css also it will hep.

Actually W3Schools isn't affiliated with W3C as the name might imply. I would be somewhat cautious using it as my only resource. Also try googling for w3fools.

or some playground to explore a lot of the css details
cssreference.io
but you learn most if you use it
