I don't know if this belongs in here or in GD, but I'll post it here because fuck the police
anyways, recently I've been trying to play Burnout Paradise again. It was on my C drive, but that's almost empty, so i moved the files to my D drive. After the move, the game wasn't working well. It would sometimes get a black screen, but the audio would continue. Or it would just crash. So, i deleted my copy on the D drive and reinstalled, also on the D drive. After this, I didn't experience the problems from before. However, after I play for about 5 minutes the game will freeze. Once again, the audio will still work fine, but the video just stops and I can't do anything. If I end the process, the monitor that I would be playing on would stop getting a signal somehow. So then I installed the latest drivers for my graphics card, and that kind of helped. But the problem still persists. Although it doesn't happen within 5 minutes now. It usually takes 10 or so minutes. I've also noticed it happens a lot more when I start boosting the car.
This isn't happening in any other games. Also, this used to happen when the game was still on my C drive, but it usually took 2 hours for it to finally freeze like that.
I'm running Windows XP, SP3. 3.5GB of ram... And my graphics card is a "Radeon 4300/4500 Series".
tl;dr: Burnout Paradise is freezing after I play for like 5 mins. isn't happening on other games.

It might be your graphic card overheating (we're in summer after all).
Or it might be your power supply unit that's getting old. Compare your PSU rated power with this power consumption estimator. How much margin do you have?

My GPU was idling at 59° and got up to 64° before it crashed, and I also noticed the GPU load got to 97% before it crashed.
My GPU is an RV710? and I'm pretty sure my PSU is 400 watts

59C idle seems quite high. my 4850 is idling at 44C with the fan barely running. Get some canned air and try cleaning the fan on it? Does it even have a fan? Found a source that it pulls 155W under load, so if the PSU is dying and not pushing max watts and everything else is using high-load power, it could be that.
Burnout paradise is relatively new, and while boosting the graphics are sped up by quite a bit, maybe it just can't handle it (anymore?) Do you have any errors/criticals in the event viewer?

400W peak PSU that is actually a 350W continuous whose cheap capacitor have badly aged (-20% power) -> 280W... Subtract 100W for the CPU, 50W for the mobo, 25W for the GPU, 10W per HDD... You probably still have 50-80W of margin in a worst case scenario. That ain't much, but I still doubt it's the PSU i this case

There is nothing wrong with your pc. This game dislikes movement. When I moved it to my second HDD so I could reformat my 1tb it crapped out too. You will have to reinstall it. If you have the CD key you can enter it into origin, or hopefully you have the steam version like me.

My fan speed is at 27% while idling and 30% while I played the game. Is it not supposed to do this?
Didn't see anything too unusual in the event viewer.

Might just have to try that.
