Excellent program, just thought I'd let you all know about it.

What it does: idles in your tray until you go to take a desktop screenshot, you can then select what part of the screen to screenshot by holding mouse down and releasing when done (esc to cancel). It'll then automcally upload the image to a website and put the link in your clipboard.

Uploads to vvcap.net/db/

There's a program called Shotty that actually does the same thing, but I like it a lot better. It gives your screens a neat shadow that makes them look a lot better. Once the screenshot is taken, there'll be an edit menu, from there you can save/upload/crop do a bunch of other things. You give it your own hotkey (I use ctrl + prnt) and then it'll take a SS of the active window, or it has a menu of different windows that you can choose from.

Example of a screen it takes:

And what the program looks like

Hrm, I like VVCap because it helps me be lazy. I really hate cropping the picture, so VVCap's ability to select any part of the screen makes it the winner for me still.

But the shadow does look good. ;_;

I just use the Snipping Tool included in Win7. I don't make screenshots often enough to really benefit from the slightly streamlined process you get with using another program.
