So my dad's job is getting rid of all the offices and they're working from home now. At home he has the house's wifi to use, but he said that he's going to be on the road a lot and needs to be able to access the internet on his laptop.
I've never heard of the name "air card" before as I've never looked into them. Thus, I know nothing about them.
Does anyone have any suggestions for him? What kind should he get?
He's running Windows XP, and I'm guessing it's XP Pro SP3, but am not sure.
I usually use the embedded transmitter from HP, but i also like the cards from sierra. I usually prefer the pcmcia card since less treat of breaking (The usb types just stick out)

Some business line notebooks will have these build in but you will need to pay a monthly fee in order to use it.
If your dad's computer does not have it go to either T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint or other major cellular dealers and buy one from them.
Also ask what are their monthly plans and so on.
New ones will uses Express Card. _________________
