| This past winter, everyone was talking about prices of intel processors coming down with the release of the Phenom II x6 series, and all video card prices coming down with the release of the fermi, and it would all happen this summer. The summer is now, and no such bullshit has happened. Newegg has blatantly upped their prices on the higher end intel processors, and not a single video card got any cheaper (Remember "hurrdurr I'm gonna wait for the 5850 to be 200$). Someone enlighten me.

Yeah.. I was waiting for the summer drop down too.. Also planning on getting the 5850 Lol. I'm going to wait until July to buy it, since I'm going on vacation. Hopefully something happens over June xD

Is not even close to summer yet, chill bro.
aside Microcenter, FRY's always have i7, phenom X6 for $200-$300
You want to know why the 5850 are priced so high?
Because ATI have no competitor, Nvidia just released their fermi, 6 months late, giving ATI a fucking huge boost from the December sale last year. Now, people still wouldn't buy a shrinked down 465, or overpriced 470 while 480 is being too much of hassle

| Its may 31st, summer is only just getting here. You know the good shit is released in june - july and oct - nov. This is how they release vidya gaems too. Just wait, its all in the timing.

So, that's it? In the 5 weeks that I went to camp expecting to come back to tons of low prices and new technology, it turns out that the computer world froze for a month?
