I have been using a normal hard drive for a while now and I am looking to upgrade to a SSD and have no clue what one to buy,
my budget is 150$ (before tax and shipping) and prefer to buy from
newegg.ca, tigerdirect.ca and ncix.com.
If anyone could help me pick one out I would appreciate it Very Happy.

I would suggest you go and read what solid-state drives are for:

Depends on how big. They are pretty damn expensive. Best bet is to use an SSD for your OS's and the HDD for games and everything else.

That sounds like a decent idea. I haven't given SSDs a chance yet because they are so new and expensive.

In the past if you want a cheap SSD, you will have to sacrifice performance as it's got crappy read and write (Intel V and Kingston V).

These days you can now get a cheap SSD and have the same performance as those premium models san the larger capacity.

Crucial RealSSD C300: SATA 6GB/s (SATA III)
read: 355MB/sec (SATA 6Gb/s), 265MB/sec (SATA 3Gb/s)
write: 70MB/sec (SATA 6Gb/s), 70MB/sec (SATA 3Gb/s)
Crucial SSD

This one has a write of 75MB/sec and cost 1 cent extra

My bad, you live in Canada.

All of them have TRIM support

Well, make sure your mobo supports SATA 3 to get the most out of your SSD.
