Prop in the install cd and select repair.
if not just do a restall by selecting advance and select your largest partition and just install over it. It will save your files (in C:\Windows_OLD). This includes C:\Users and Program files (x86 and x64 folders)

Yea you may have to do a repair install. You can try built in repair which does not need the dvd. Just press f8 to launch the bootoptions (before windows logo) and select repair.

He said that this happens as soon as the windows logo starts, so therefore he cannot access the task manager.
I would say that your installation of windows is corrupt. I doubt this is a hardware issue, but it may be something you want to look into.

I sovled by doing a full reformatt from OEM pation.
I tried to backup but it didn't work.
I think it was from a windows update because i think it crashed when installing
Btw the 1810T doesn't have a Cd/dvd drive
