Save your money. The GTX 460 or HD5830 aren't fast enough to warrant cashing out $200 for coming from your GTX 275, even if you do manage to sell it for a good wad of cash.

Maybe a new monitor or hard drive.

It would be more for the dx11 than a huge power increase. I like to believe games will be coming this xmas with dx11 ability.

I CAN DREAM CAN I NOT?

or you could build a giant raid array and basically match those speeds anyway while having over a terrabyte of space vs 64gb.

I'm sorry, but fuck SSD. Not worth it for the price. The space sucks, it costs out the ass. Its faster but, does anyone really need it?

90% of people who buy i7s don't need it. 90% of people who buy 5970s don't need it. Face it, that's just how it is with computers. If you were to buy just what you need, you wouldn't have what you'd need the next day.

@slovach, not for $145.

Ok so explain why I would ever need a 60gb ssd? Name the best reason anyone could possibly need it. Its just a hard drive. Oh yay its fast and makes windows say my pc is good, yay. There is no real reason for it. PCs today run perfectly fast without an SSD. Comparing an SSD to a CPU is just stupid. Obviously people need a faster CPU.

Install your windows on the SSD enjoy really fast system loading times.

Have you ever used one? 60GB was the size of my old hard drive. I could easily manage with that amount of space. Plus, I'd have my other 500GB hard drive as a storage drive. On a good SSD, W7 will boot in about 5-7 seconds. Then I have the other 50GB of space to fill with other stuff that I want to run quickly.

Before this came out, if you want a cheap SSD, you can get the Intel V series. V stands for value and this took away the performance due to its cheap price, which in the end isn't even worth it.
Now the pricing of SSD is starting to get attractive.

You could buy a 1TB hardrive for just over $100, why would anyone buy a 64 GB SSD for the same price.

Capacity > speed anytime unless your one impatient fag.
