RAM is easy enough, just pop out the old sticks and replace them.
What is your laptop model? If you're lucky enough to have an MXM slot you *might* be able to find graphics cards of the same type on Ebay or elsewhere.

Wtf are you saying, you just don't pop in random pieces of RAM, you have to see what RAM you have now, and like check for a number or something...

The only things you have to pay attention to is whether your laptop uses DDR2 or DDR3, the clock speed versus the FSB speed, memory capacity and chipset limitations. RAM will clock down on its own to match the FSB, so if you have 1066MHz modules and 800MHz FSB it will clock down automatically. Memory version goes without saying.
Chipset limitations though can be found in specification sheets (Google). Most chipsets supports 8gb-16gb with no problems, but some may be funkier, such as having a 4gb max. There's no point in buying 8gb of memory if you can only use half of it because your hardware isn't good enough.

And he wasn't talking about getting the RAM, he was talking about actually putting the RAM in the computer, in which case you do just take out the old sticks and put in the new ones. Why do you even pretend to know what you're talking about?

Most of the time with laptops, the graphics card is integrated with the motherboard so chances are you won't be able to change it for a new card. But you can definitely add more RAM. As Haswell said, you have to make sure you know what type of RAM your laptop can accept before buying new ones. Also be aware that some laptops have a max limit to how much RAM you can have installed.

That's not it.
1. Mother boards can have a limited amount of RAM slots
2. 32 bit = max 4gb RAM
There's no limit to it 'just' because they are labtops. The only limits are space in mobo/case and space on 32bit/64bit, although the labtop mobo in itself may not support more than a certain amount of RAM.
