Hi there, I know that Dark Byte has released a separate speed hack back in '05 , however I was wondering if there was any newer speedhack similar or based on the recent versions of CE (no sleeptime).
Also, can someone help me figure out how I would get a speed of 0.90 with a low sleeptime? One of the reasons to use the newer speedhack... haha.
Quote: | a sleep and speed of 1 will go with 0.7 time the original speed
a sleep and speed of 2 will go with 1.1 time the original speed
a sleep and speed of 3 will go with 2 time the original speed
...
a sleep and speed of 99 will go with 99 time the original speed
a sleep and speed of 100 will go with 100 time the original speed
-------------------------
a sleep of 100 and a speed of 1 will go with 1 time the original speed
a sleep of 100 and a speed of 2 will go with 2 times the original speed
a sleep of 100 and a speed of 3 will go with 3 times the original speed |

try a sleep of 35, that's about the same detail as the old gettickcount in win9x
as for making a standalone speedhack based on the new one (and keep it equally compatible with old and newer systems) will result in the whole cheat engine program minus the main gui. But the rest will still be there
(so still a 4MB file and equally detectable)
This is due to the way that speedhack generates an auto assembler script, which injects the dll and hooks the apis using that script

Hello I have a question regarding the Speedhack part of Cheat Engine. I dont know if I should start my own thread as it may be too noobish of a question so hopefully its not a problem if I piggyback off of this one since it still on the front page.
What I would like to know is what risks if any are there running the speedhack on my laptop. I tried a search on google and found someone saying to be careful using speedhack as it can overheat my processor and motherboard. Then I found someone else saying what it does is trick
clock.
Is damage to my pc possible if I use the speedhack? I have 4gb ram and core duo if that makes any difference. I've used it a handful of times and the longest was probably an hour but I'm wondering if I am risking doing damage to something that may not be easily fixed since its a laptop. Thanks!

no, it doesn't do damage, it's just related to windows, not your cpu
