But it lags even with bare minimum settings.
I have 4 gigabytes of ram, a Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E5300, an Nvidia Geforce 7050 / Nvidia nforce 620i.

The numbering scheme is useless.
Architecture is more important

i'd imagine you're gpu bound in this case, the dual core saves you a bit.

that gpu is slooooooow.

TF2 like most valve games are more dependent on the cpu than gpu. For tf2, with every patch the requirements get worse, but they never update their idiot detection for settings. It said my old netbook could run it on high but it would uber lag into the opening before you choose a side and person, and if it made it farther it would bsod. This is on special low settings done via auto configuration ini file. If you know it won't run on anything except low, then set it all to low.
