Well the thing is, I dont know the details and I dont know what it was sued for.
If it got sued and the Plaintiff wanted the site to get shut down, then probably
they have 30 days to shut it down (might vary since Im doing this under the
law of the United States.)

However, if it was just sued for a money amount because something
happened, like frauds or violation of something (which is most likely) then it
doesnt necessarily have to get shut down. They just have to figure out how to
pay.

Personally, I also think that Mininova is better.

Idiots, its law. No one likes law but if someone stole from you, you'd get pissed and wanna get back at them.

And I was wondering why Limewire isn't getting sued. They're the biggest offender.

You are all mistaken of what is happening.

They are not getting sued for the following reason:

-Because they do or do not have fast torrents
-because they are or are not the best torrent site

They are getting sued because

-They are the most publically known (so the 90 year olds in Hollywood who have no clue how to google know what it is)
-Their site contains material to lead to copyright infrigment

Their main site is in sweden, but all the torrents + mirror sites are in Russia, China, Micronations and Korea. (i heard from shakey source).

The US does not have any lawful control and cannot easily pressure:
-Micronations
-Maybe russia and china (maybe korea)

As they pressured the Swedish government.

They lost it, the battle has been since 2004, when they first got into the court. nevertheless, the four 4 owners are going to jail thats what i heard. Might as well add that TPB is just a search engine just like Google.

Also fuck IPRED. That rule was enforced here in sweden April 1.

edit: just read tomorrows newspaper, that they all will serve one year in jail, and are getting sued for 30mil.
