so my dad brought an SSD with windows 7 intsalled. i plug it in, try to boot off it, but it gives a NTLDR is missing error.

how to fix?

Pop in the OS install disk, select repair, and do automatic.

dont got the disk. it came preinstalled in the ssd. im guessing you think the files are corrupted?

i thot that too, but my dad said it was working fine on the computer in his company so..

Sounds like the MBR was corrupted in the SSD. Use a Ubuntu liveCD/liveUSB to fix it.

Edit.
I also remember my sister's pc had that error. If you can try booting the hard drive in another pc. It may be the hardware. :/

He can't boot into Windows 7, so creating a repair disc from the OS is moot at this point.

Lots of SSDs need firmware updates before they will boot any operating system, check if the SSD you have has a newer firmware version on the manufacturer's website.
