hi everyone i was just wondering if you are able to crossfire different card series' with each other (e.g a HD5670 and a HD5850), or if you had to keep the series the same (e.g HD5670 and HD5670). i have seen the ATI CrossfireX compatibility chart (link below) with no success, the highest card on it is the HD4870 and it is only the original Crossfire. any info would be helpful, thanks in advanced.

you may wanna ask in the ATI forums.
I think I reed somewhere that you could crossfire 5000 series with other 5000 series cards.

5670 only crossfires with another 5670 or 5570, I think. It doesn't even matter, optimally you want to crossfire one card with another of the same variety.
