i don't know anything about acceptable temperatures, but 111 Fahrenheit seems like it would be hot to me.

I don't think 44 Degrees Celsius is hot for anything.

I don't know Celsius but, 111 F on a hot summer day is grueling, I was just going by that.

My GTX260 is running on 42 Degrees Celsius.
I live in Australia and it is Autumn now.
I think those temps are good.
But don't take my advice.
Google around and see other peoples average temperatures and compare it to yours.

Generally, GPUs can take up to 100C/212F easily.

sorry i worded it wrong, i meant like do you use a program to increase the fan speed? Like rivatuner? or catalyst control center? I use smart doctor cause it came with my card. If you do just raise the fan speed.

I have CCC, but I've never changed anything in it.

Do that then change the fan speed to a higher thing, sure the noise might go up but the card will be a lot cooler.

Went from 50% to 75%, are there any negative effects of changing it?

Higher: Cooler, louder.
Lower: Hotter, quieter.

That's about it. It also uses more power at higher speeds, but hardly any amount that matters, so you can entirely disregard that.

If you think 111F is hot, try fermi.
92C = 197.6F
