I mostly don't trust rebates since majority of the time, the never come or takes so long to come, by the time it did, your ram isn't even worth its original purchase value.

I prefer instant rebates where I actually see the price being cut off at the cashier.

I... bought 8GB ddr3 RAM 1600mhz frequency for like 254 dollars... That doesn't sound like much to me but eh.

I bought 8GB ddr3 ram 1600 for somewhere about 340$
which was actually kind of cheap for me at least :/

i bought 4gb of ddr2 about a year ago for under $20 (with rebate).

rebated, basically yes
it took like 2 months to get the fucking rebate but it did actually work, it was pretty awesome.

This is decent. I thought ram of that high was liek 50 - 60 for 2gb. My ddr2 800 was 40 for a 2gb chip. Probably cheaper for dual 1gb but I plan to max my tiny mobo with 4gb (2 ram slots).
