I'm going to build a gaming computer on an $800 budget...whats the best comination i could have? (keeping monitor, keyboard, and mouse, just want a computer)

You can get a cheaper case if budget doesn't allow or downgrade to a weaker cpu/gpu
no one uses DVD drives anymore, if you really want, recycle them
edit: if OP has FRY's, there are way better deals than Newegg
Edit2: FINALLY $800. WHEN USING "VGA462" AS PROMO CODE! FUCK YEAH

He could get a 5770 and a bit less ram, and still make out like a king. Get more ram later. GPU prices have always been highm but ram, thats outrageous.

No what you want is a gpu that belongs to the highend.
The 5850 will be a solid choice as the 5830 is a huge let down.

Hmm, I suppose that is a ddr3 motherboard. You see 1200 (OC)/1066/800 in ddr2 ones so often, my eyes must have been playing tricks on me. Even so, it's not that fun to have to be limited to such slow memory. Of course, compared to how fast ripjaws are.

There are two version of the same mobo actually, the ddr2 version is cheaper and have a "XT" labeled
ddr3 model:
Support AM3 socket/ DDR3 memory & CrossFire ready
