Hey, this seems like something that should be pretty simple.. Basically I found a piece of code I want to change. The address ranges from 1 to 10, 1 being an incomplete quest in the game and 10 being completely finished. I try changing the value to 10, and it turns back to its previous value.

So I do the next step: scan address and see what writes to it. The result:

mov [eax+20],ebp

eax+20 is an address with an offset. ebp is obviously the number we want. Its value can range from 00000001 to 00000010... basically the hex values of what I want to change.

How would I change the value of ebp? Obviously this would then copy it into eax+20 and get the results I'm looking for.

Why would you want to change the value? Why not just:

mov [eax+20],0A

Or even better, nop that code and then change the value manually.
