Recently my computer has been freezing, bsoding and crashing and I cant figure out why..
First I ran memtest which showed up with 500+ errors RMA the ram for a new kit installed and at first there was the same amount of errors but i tested again for 48 hours and nothing showed up..
So i Reset my bios to the default settings and ran linx and prime 95
both fail within seconds of running.. Question is should those two programs run fine with the bios set to default or would I have to change the voltages etc..
Thanks in advanced.

make sure your memory voltages ended up correct
the bios isn't guaranteed to get it right, it will default mine to lower than they should be.

yea.. i set mine manually to 1.64v but is that the only setting i should do manually? I still crash with that set to 1.64.. almost positive the ram is defective.. throw in 1 stick of 2GB works fine, take it back out and put the other in and the computer bluescreens like crazy.... OCZ has got to the the most shitty ram I have ever used, 2 defective kits in a row wtf!
going to RMA and get a different brand like everyone said in my last post
Thanks guys :\

I giving a vote on Prime95, I have checked out an overclock on a E8400 with IBT and it going to pass 10 runs, then I ran 3dmark06 which crashed within a minute.
