Actually I planned on getting red contacts and saying nothing about them and being all, what contacts? Oh, it must be the sun, I don't know, maybe I'm tired, when ever they see my pure red eyes. >_>

contacts only change iris color. >.>
the red look when you're tired is on the white part of eye :0
i had a blood stained iris for a while ;_;
since i had light brown eyes, i had an eye that was a bit on the reddish brown side >.>
faded away though T_T
