I have a Insignia video recorder and I recently brought in some video, but I'm having trouble. When I play it audio plays but not the actual video part itself. Its just a black screen.

Please help me with this, the video on here is very important to me.

Also the video is in .AVI format.

Most likely. Use VLC Player (there is a portable version somewhere if you're one of those people...)
