So, my Norton that came with my laptop just expired, meaning that it's time for a new Antivirus.
This is not a war-thread over which antivirus is the best.
Just looking for opinions on the antivirus you are using, and a note or two about why you like it.

Due to certain undisclosed reasons and various circumstances, cost is not an issue.

A good free AV? Would you recommend this over Eset (I have it right now)?

MSE is pretty awesome for being free man.
By free, i mean free. | I have it.
Doesn't do anything, but that's because I'm not an idiot with downloading things <--best AV you can ever have.

Anti-viruses are kind of like people. There are many of them, and each one works a little differently. One may do better than others under certain conditions. The published AV tests do not tell the whole story. If you want to select an antivirus, you should get a test version of a few you might like and use them (one at a time) for a month or so. Don't install/use more than one at a time.

Kaspersky Internet Security 2010.
It has great detection.
It also has 'application control' which is basically HIPS.
It'll basically stop anything from attempting to modify something on your computer and ask you if you want to allow it or disallow it.
One other thing; For a Security Suite that has a lot of features it's very lightweight (Only uses 16mb in total for me and around 27mb while updating).
If you get KIS 2010 you won't have to worry about virus' ever again.

Eset NOD32 internet security. You know how so many AV's get rid of cheatengine, trainers, and tracking cookies that you don't care about? Eset has numerous times gotten rid of an virus that I actually knew was there. Now, that is a novelty.
