so recently i got this virus prapobly when i went on the net and my comp BSODed and i dont know what to do with it. Its a system file so i cant delete it and im not sure what the vir does exacly.
AVG detected this but when i scanned with MalwareBytes nothing showed up.
anyway to fix it w/o windows reinstallation?

It still does not need that file to run. Windows should replace it all by its self.

Kindly refrain from just telling people to delete needed system files, ESPECIALLY when you don't even know if Windows will replace it or not on it's own.

The simple answer for atapi.sys is it's a file system used for optical drives.
Optical drives as in CD/DVD ROMs.
If you can, disconnect the DVD drives or change a the cable.

uh so what happens if i leave it connected/use it?
i will have to reinstal windws sooner or later, just want to wait a little.
