Everywhere I see both ati and nvidia support porting physx on ATI cards. How does one do this? Or is there even a point to doing it?

I believe PhysX 1.0 is now compatible with ATi cards

but nVidia already unveiled physX 2 and I really dont think they will share it

I saw on google about a patch. Gonna look into it. What would it help with though? I mean, I figure since I can, why not? But then what good will it do me?

i use 8600gtphysX with my 4890 because i can, shit was awesome, extra 2k for 3dmarks, more e-peen.
only there are only few gaems that uses physX ;_;

Ya everything says about having a shit nvidia in just for the physx. I thought there would be a driver for ati personally.


Change of subject. Are the optimized drivers from NGOHQ.com any good?

yeah and it absolutely murders framerate because GPU physics is a moronic idea

non shitty physics engines are already threaded and scale to multiple cores easily... unlike physx.
