Kk sorry just annoys me when people use or accuse me of using brushes there for newfags. Will look at some turtorials.

They aren't just for newfags but I recommend making your own brushes over downloading them.

Didn't use a brush, got a image of a blood splatter edited it to suit and then layered the original rainbow design and copied via layer giving the blood splatter effect.

That's ignorant and stupid; brushes aren't for "newfags" at all. Just because you choose not to use them doesn't mean you can deem everyone who does use them as "newfags". Speaking of which, that term doesn't even fit the context of this discussion.
If you'd take a look at many of the popular signatures / signature tutorial on DevArt, you'll find that mostly all of them use at least some forms of brushes.
That is all.
