I have a modem and and router. I'm wondering what settings they should be on...
I own a Westell modem and a Netgear WNR2000 router, and I get my Internet from Bellsouth (AT&T).

Should I have both of them on PPPoE?
Should the modem be on 'Bridged Ethernet' and the router on PPPoE?
Should I have neither of them on PPPoE?

Ask if you need anymore information.

If your internet is working fine now, leave it as is.

It has it's been going up and down, mainly up though the down times are slightly annoying if I'm on a game. I'm wondering if it may be something else though.

If that were the problem, you wouldn't have any internet at all, so it has to be something else.
