Cheat Engine

The problem is when i use the pointer scanner it founds like 148k pointer paths for an address, so i exit out of the game and reload it and when i use new scan it finds the new value i try to use next scan to narrow it down and i get this error message:

Scan error:thread 0:Out of memory
The weird thing is i have 2gig of ram and cheat engine plus the game are only using 338mb out of 2gig what is going on?
Any solutions to this problem..

try closing the pointerscanwindow if you didn't already. Else restart cheat engine. This is most likely due to memory fragmentation.

also, in ce 5.6 it's better to just do a value rescan instead of scanning for an address. It's about as fast as an address rescan anyhow.
