I heard this was implemented in CE5.6, but have yet to see a script utilizing this feature.
Also, is it also able to scan arrays without variables, kind of like findpattern? xx?xxxx?xx???x or something like that.

it can use wildcards
e.g:
aobscan(myvar,88 20 ?? ?? 11 23 00 00 ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? 1Cool

will cause the text myvar in the script to be replaced with the address the aobscan finds
