Erm can you please answer my question if you know if you don't is okay as i have tried everything to see if Recovery partition can be altered by viruses i heard from an expert viruses can prevent you from getting to it but not change or hide in it is this correct?
Is there a fail safe to stop it from running if it has been modified because I. Think me and more people wud agree you don't want to start the process than it goes horribly wrong so any information will be appreciated
Because nothing is worst than doing a system restore and then the process goes wrong so any information over my matter is appreciated
I am talking about the one you access when you press f10 on start up/ not the disc recovery but the partition recovery.
Thank- You in advance to any answers! _________________
well i can access mine just fine but i want to know if the failsafe is that when it's loading the partition is it checking if you got all the required files to continue, because i do not know if it will just all of a sudden say it missed a file when you are going through the process of restoring to factory settings.
Sorry if this is kind of confusing _________________
Just don't mess with that partition. Don't shrink it, add stuff to it, delete stuff from it, *format it*, etc... Basically just ignore that partition and accept the fact the it eats away approximately 10GB of your HDD space.
If you don't mess with it, nothing will go wrong. Make a backup of that partition if you are paranoid enough.
Mine is messed up just be changing my OS from the netbooks xp home to xp pro. You can just burn an XP disc to match your version and use the key on the pc. A recovery partition is just wasted space from the manufacturer. You can download all your needed drivers off the internet.
