|
|
I have 2 computers and one is windows 7 the other is windows XP
I enabled sharing for my samsung printer in windows 7
I went to add printer in the other computer, put in the computer name, \\Kunal-PC\Printer
Im fine until It asks me for the username and password to connect to Kunal - PC computer
I tried almost everything like administrator, blank password, etc, Kunal-PC has no password to logon
and it keeps giving me the error,
"could not connect the operation could not be completed"
Any Ideas? _________________

Give it a password..? It's the same with logmein.. it won't let you enter a blank password.. or I should say, it won't let you login to an account that uses a blank password. _________________

I've tried the following
-The User + Pass to logon for both the computers
-The WEP Name and Key of the network it is connected to

1. Both computers has to be in the same group but its name needs to be different.
2. Disable password protected sharing if you did not setup a password for your user account.
3. In the Security Tab, add Guest into the list and change it to Co-Owner. |

I would prefer that the network have a password not the user account itself
