I've been having a few computer troubles today, mostly with speed.
I've scanned for virus' and only found a couple of cookies.
So what are some good programs/ways of cleaning/speeding up my computer?

Windows rot is bullshit so long as you know how to maintain your computer. A messy registry is really not going to do anything at all to general system speed. Dust isn't going to do anything to slow your computer, though it may run a little hotter. Shit on your hard drive isn't going to affect anything unless it's running in the background.
1. Run ccleaner
2. Open msconfig, get rid of any useless non-MS services and any background background programs that aren't things you use regulary, your AV or drivers (anything from Adobe or Apple likes to auto-add bullshit updater things)
3. Defrag (which will typically only provide a slight boost in effective HDD speed for a few minutes, but whatever)
