1. Boot from your repair disk
2. Open command prompt from the disk
3. bootrec.exe /fixboot
4. bootrec.exe /fixmbr
Should restore Windows Bootloader this way. Delete or format the Ubuntu partition later on to, well, remove it.

| If the installation disk has a repair function or something like that, pretty much yes. Look for more options at the screen that says "Install now".

that doesn't get rid of the GRUB menu, it just makes the win7 partition boot first so the GRUB menu can't load

alright do this, open command prompt
type:
wait a few seconds, then type
choose your main hardrive (usually disk 0 or 1)
so type (or whatever your disk number is)
then type
again, choose the partition that has win7 installed on it)
now type
(or whatever part your win7 is installed on)
now type
type then again
reboot, should boot into windows

1. Boot into a GParted live cd.
2. Delete the GRUB and Ubuntu partitions (being careful not to format your Windows partition).
3. Expand the windows 7 partition to take up the entire drive.
4. Boot into windows 7 DVD, enter recovery console
5. fixboot
6. fixmbr (might not be necessary)

Boot into your ubuntu live cd, go to system>administration>partition manager
if you have multiple hdds switch to the one with the SWAP and ext3. Delete them but make sure the one labelled ntfs is not deleted. Drag the ntfs to fill up the hdd. Hit apply.
It will take a few minutes, and you will have to be careful because it can cause data loss on your windows partition.
Once it has completed, grab your windows install disk, fire it up, and look for recovery. You don't want troubleshooting cos that will stuff it up. Look for recovery, and press the key that it tells you to. You need two commands. Fixboot and fixmbr. This will point your bios to windows. Your Hdd should now be Linux-free.
