Touchscreens are among the newest features on netbooks, and HP’s Mini 5102 is among them (a “standard” version, sans touchscreen is offered as well for $50 more). This is a netbook that’s “ruggedized,” with anodized aluminum, especially for students and those on the go, and even has an optional pull-out handle. Using its 2-megapixel Web cam, the netbook also uses facial recognition software for logging on. So if you leave it somewhere and a stranger tries to use it, they should be out of luck. The touchscreen display responds to gestures, finger taps and swipes. The 5102, like most new netbooks on the market, uses the newer-generation Intel Atom N450 processor. HP’s netbook has a starting weight of 2.6 pounds, comes in black, red or blue, and has a 10.1-inch LED display that is also available in high-def resolution. More information: www.hp.com

I'm sure it costs more than 70$ to build a netbook like that let alone sell it for that price. but you know, I could be completely wrong (and i'm hoping I am), so we'll have to wait and see!
