Cheat Engine

I put in 5 for amount of lives I started with and when I lost a life I typed in 4 and hit Next Scan and it showed no addresses at all. I did have over a thousand addresses listed for 5 lives but nothing listed for 4. I have tried to use ALL instead of 4 byte as well as Byte and still nothing is listed. Any ideas or help would be appreciated. Thanks! Shocked

perhaps the value you're looking for isn't what is stored in the game

Does that mean I have to multiply my 5 lives by 8 or do you mean something totally different?

perhaps you have to multiply by 3.14
it all depend son the game. Just use unknown initial value followed by changed/unchanged. (sometimes increased/decreased value works)
