Help! Booting linux from usb

I installed linux using pendrivelinux utorials but the usb doest have a mbr (aster boot recored ) so I can't boot from it!

help! how do I add an MBR!

If something is wrong with the USB stick itself, buy a new one... they aren't that expensive anyways

Did you even read what I wrote?

When I installed A linux distro i didn't come with a mbr

mbr is ow windows knows what to boot

Ok, here's how I always get Linux and other OS's to boot off my USB. Get the normal CD image (.iso file), and use UNetBootin to copy everything to the USB and make it bootable. Remember to format your USB drive first.
