Well since the laptop I want is now unavailable, I have decided to just build a desktop, even if the stupid thing has to sit on a small Night stand for all I care. My limit is 600 USD, and I request it to have atleast 2gb ram and can play GTA4 or games of similar needs (a dual core of 1.8 or higher and a decent geforce card). Can anyone help me with a build? OS is not required, as ill cram xp onto it. Thanx.

edit:

This is my current build

total is at the top of the links. Please do comment, but try not to be that harsh. Its my first real build with help from shota and konata.

Changed the mobo to support crossfire.

The case went unavailable in the last 5 minutes. ;-; So if anyone can find me the coolmaster in the links, lemme know. It was 29.99 and blue with a clear side.

Because Nvidia is how its ment to be played :s

Actually I don't really care, as long as I can play stuff from this year and coming year. I would like atleast a 2.0ghz dual core, even if its an AMD. If a ATI can out put the newest geforce, aside from the GTX series, im willing to go with it.

Its a few dollars cheaper on the US site too, due to currency and all that, so you'll probably save $10 or $20 more.

This is my final build http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=16858628

Its got a 2.4ghz quad AMD core. This just fits my max budget of 650 also. I am pleased with this.

Its the whole budget thing man. I aint worried. Besides, it will max out all my source games, and it will play gta 4 on medium high. I could also buy boarderlands and it wil run well. From what konata said, the build she run even crysis on a pretty high level. Credit to him for helping me.

the whole build had to be 650 including shipping. This build so far hits it on the head just about. a few bucks over isnt a big deal.

GTA4 is hilariously CPU bound, to the point of ridiculousness.
