|
|
Hey,
I am running Windows 7 on this PC.
On the left pane I realized that under the Network catagory, was my PC Name, but also the name VIRUS011.
I tried googling but nothing.
I had 3 networks. Local, Hamachi and Virtualbox.
I uninstalled Hamachi and Virtualbox and checked again.
VIRUS011 computer was gone...
I always check my Processes and Msconfig startups but its all legit.. I do have 2 rundll32.exe.
Any steps I should take further.
I will reformat but I have no idea what caused it in the first place, so I don't want to backup a virus...
Any tips or anything...
P.S I'm using Avast and on my network I have 2 PC's and an Xbox which all have valuable stuff I can't loose... _________________

If you got stuff you cannot lose, why not run a check and see if you can get rid of the virus first? |

The usual combo:
Hijackthis, mbam, autoruns (manual check).
Maybe eset system inspector. |

It was almost definitely Hamachi. |

I tend to agree with this, but a virus check is never too much. |
