lol, I just got a new mother board and CPU the other day, so i transferred every thing from my old computer to my new mother board. as i was taking out the RAM i accidently dropped it on the floor and it didn't work after that. it was the solder joints under the memory chips that got loose after it was dropped, so i decided to heat it up so the solder would melt and fix the disconnected joints. i never thought it was going to work, but there's nothing i can do but give it a try and it works perfectly fine now.
check out my new specs

I demand a video of this happening, and the stick of RAM not being useless after you take a blow torch to it.

Just like baking 360 to fix RROD or baking graphic cards to fix red vertical lines

Baking isn't direct heat right on it though, but a blow torch is.

the problem is, the joints are under the chips. can't reach it with a soldering iron. so i just blow torched every chip for 2 seconds.

no, you definitely didn't.
the temperature of the flame (depending) is what, 10x hotter typically than when solder melts?
even using a heat gun would be iffy. direct heat will more than likely trash your shit.

Most of the electrical component failures are due to prolonged exposure to excessive heat. (e.g ~10 to 20 seconds over the absolute max safe temperature) I agree with you that using a heat gun would be iffy, because it's just not hot enough, heat guns blow out hot air around ~400 degrees Celsius. Which would take a long time to melt the solder under the IC, plus the fact that the hot air is not concentrated in a small area, it most likly that the PCB would bend out of shape befor the solder melts. With a blow torch, it has a concentrated jet flame thats ~2000 degrees Celsius. It would only take ~2 seconds for the solder under the IC to reach it's melting point, the IC won't reach up to 2000 degrees Celsius under 2 seconds, because the memory chips on my RAM would be vapourized by now.
