I intend on getting a refurbished 360 without the hard drive,
should i get one, or is it unnecessary?
Can i still save games without the hard drive?
Or is the hard drive the ONLY source of storage memory in the 360?

Well yes you can still save games without the HDD and the 360 has built in memory as well but its not alot
Its 512MB of flash memory
Personally I would get the HDD, you'll get more space for demo's, add-ons etc

| Yea 360 has like 512mb flash like a wii does. It sucks, but you dont need a HDD right away.

| They have a MW2 package. Comes with: 250gb HDD, 2 controllers, 1 headset, MW2, and ethernet cords (standard I believe). Its 300 bucks, and thats a damn good deal.

Just buy a Pro console.
They are discontinued and all the stores are getting rid of their surplus for cheap.
Cheapest I've seen so far is $150 at Walmart.
60GB harddrive, component cable (720p), ethernet cord, one controller and the console of course.
And if you've already bought the refurb arcade xbox, I would definitely recommend a harddrive. At least 20GBs. 512MB is not enough unless you don't plan to update to the latest XBL patches, don't plan to download demos, don't plan to download XBLA games, don't play to down map packs/add ons for your games and so on.
