| OK, I volunteer at a Computer shop near my house and I helped like ten people today with all these damn Norton problems, removing them or Norton is blocking this or blah blah blah. my question is sort of an opinion, Why is Norton so crappy but it gets sold so much and gets good reviews. I mean a good 3 computers had viruses Norton had just let them on... So in a nut shell: Why does Norton do so well against good protection like ESET and Kaspersky when it clearly does a poor job?

Because it's always pre-installed on everyone's systems and people don't care enough to know anything about it or why it sucks.

| Norton is a bunch of idiots. I swear, norton, eset, kaspersky, ALL OF THEM! They make these viruses so that people will buy their anyivirus. The only good virus removal tool is malwarebytes. Its free for the virus removal, and you pay for the antivirus i think.

But at least ESET and Kaspersky are userfriendly and don't lock stuff up like Norton, and you don't have to go get some damn key to remove it from your system.
