Hello, any idea why my CPU keeps OVERCLOCKING ITSELF??? When i turn on PC its 2,21Ghz as it should be and after like 30 mins it becomes 2,67GHZ.. And this shit keeps happening again and again after i turn off / turn on PC... And probably this shit cause my games RUN Slower... WHAT CAN I DO? I scanned for viruses with norton and eset online scan, found nothing so far.. If i look in Everest it shows that CPU is Overclocked on 21% but i did not do it...

What CPU do you have?
This should be in the Computer Talk section.

SpeedStep? What are your system specs?

Anyways, the increase in clock speed would make your games run faster, not slower.

But i did not overclock anything, when i turn on PC its normal 2,21Ghz after ione hour it goes to 2,67.. without any reason. I cant find another reason of my games glitching... Cuz i tried everything.. my pc is 3 years old.. Athlon 3500+ 1 GB ram 7300 GT video.

Check your CPU temps. If they are normal, then this is a good thing. If your CPU is getting overclocked by almost half a GHz, it isn't going to make your games run slower.

Do you have any power saving/safety features enabled? SpeedStep/EIST (CPU EIST Function" & "CPU Enhanced Halt (C1E). Try disabling them; they don't sound exactly to 'suit' the purpose of your issue but eh.

According to AMD's site the CPU is rated at 2.2GHz.
Maybe this extra overclocking is caused by some motherboard utility you or someone else have installed for you?
