Do all external hard drives support this? do i need to do something special to it first?
I don't have a DVD burner, so I am wanting to install Windows 7 to a new computer through my external hard drive.

Agreed.
I used a flash drive.
All you need is the .iso file and use this on a 4GB+ USB.

MSDNAA is awesome, isn't it?

Anyways, what I do is:

Burn Windows 7RC to CD, install. Then, run ISO and upgrade from local hard-drive.
