| I love thanksgiving. One of the big things that I like about it is I get to cook alot. I love cooking. My favorite thing that I make is baked potatoes, which I add a variety of spices and salts to, and then I whip it.

I have this whole week off. Got two weeks of school after, then 3 weeks off for Christmas break.

Well, I love that I get a week off from school. I also love that my mom makes mashed potatoes, those of which taste delicious with peanut sauce mixed in.
What I dislike is that we always visit family the weekend after... Family time is boring.

Don't think Halloween is considered a big holiday, you don't even get time off from school for it around here.

this is a myth and is from overeating.
tryptophan is in a ton of foods, many of which have more than turkey.

Well, we don't either, but I'm pretty sure it's celebrated by a lot of people in the U.S. So I would guess it's pretty big.

| Being Chinese, my family and family friends don't usually have a traditional Thanksgiving. We just all meet up at someone's house, have one of those big Chinese parties. The dinner will usually include some typical Thanksgiving food, Turkey of course. Sometimes mashed potatoes, sometimes baked. Seeing old friends is my favorite part though. Since I'm in college now I don't see them except for these Chinese get-togethers. What I dislike? The fact that I almost always have an exam after Thanksgiving break so I have to spend some time studying.
