Is this laptop a good deal, going to be using it for casual gaming, hw, school related stuff, etc.

Yeah, it's ok. Don't expect to play games like GTA4 on it

Also i think it can play overlord its specs are pretty good.

yes you can use laptop for school stuffs and gaming also because its doesn't need extra parts like memory card ect... but don't play lots time games on laptop.
