Cheat Engine

I just swapped the monitor I had with the monitor my dad had (the one he had was better, and both supported a higher resolution than he was going to use). He was using VGA (because he didn't have DVI on his computer) and I'm using DVI because my HD4870 doesn't have a VGA port, although it did come with a VGA-to-DVI connector which I'm using right now. So anyway, I plug my old one into his, it works fine. I plug his into mine, and it says that there is no input (I only tried DVI at first). So then I try plugging in the VGA cable (using the VGA-to-DVI connector), and it does work. Then I try to go through the menu (on the monitor) and I find an option to switch from VGA to DVI, so I select DVI and the screen goes blank for about 2 seconds, then it pops back up again. I look through the settings and it shows that it is still on Analog. How do I make it go to digital? And, is there any bad effect of having it analog instead of digital (less colors, lower quality, etc.)?

Yes I downloaded the latest drivers.

I also have an Acer X223W.
Push the Menu button on your monitor.
Push Right 4 Times.
Push Menu.
Push Right and select Digital.

I also have this problem and I can not figure out why it is happening. When I plug in just DVI, no signal. Just VGA, works fine. Both, it sees VGA and DVI and sees it as 2 monitors. But if I unplug VGA, no signal. I would really like to solve this. I also tried switching to digital, but no dice.

Did you do anything special? Because I really want it to work with DVI.
