|
|
My brother is like crazy again because he thinks that all the stuff that I've downloaded in the past on this computer - The one I'm typing on right now - slows down and lags him when he's online via xbox live.
When my mom is on her laptop he's saying that nothing's wrong with his connection, but once I get on it's shit and he has 1 bar.
Personally I can't tell a difference except the normal lag from the host.
Is there anyway that my laptop could be effecting the lag on the xbox?
----
Other notes: xbox is old and has been replaced twice. Ethernet cable is 60ft a believe.
If you need more info then just ask.

? The Xbox is connected via the 60ft ethernet? Then he should have no connection issues as far as the "1 bar" thing goes since the Xbox is using a wired connection.
There's not really any reason that your system would be affecting his ping, except when you're downloading and he's simultaneously playing on Live.

Unless you're eating bandwidth there shouldn't be an issue.
Or it could be a shitty router than can't handle that many packets, but I doubt it since it would need to be like 10 years old.
